Our founder, Svetoslav Ivanov, LL.M., is a dedicated and experienced attorney. He holds a Master of Laws degree in IP-Law, which is his specialty. Attorney Ivanov provides counsel on civil and business law, as well as on private international law.

Attorney Ivanov has successfully assisted businesses in various industries in enforcing and defending their intellectual property rights as well as in contract drafting and enforcement in court. He has acquired practical expertise through his extensive tenure in several national business law firms and a major law firm.

Due to his proven knowledge and experience, the Munich Bar Association has granted him the authorization under § 43 c BRAO to carry the designation “Specialist Attorney for Commercial and Industrial Legal Protection” (“Fachanwalt für gewerblichen Rechtsschutz”).

Career, Legal Path and Awards

During his legal traineeship, Attorney Svetoslav Ivanov, LL.M., worked at the Munich I Regional Court and at the Munich I Public Prosecutor’s Office, where he drafted court judgments and appeared in court as a representative of the prosecution.

Attorney Svetoslav Ivanov, LL.M., is known for his assertiveness and sharp analytical mind, qualities he developed during his high school years through successful participation in numerous Olympiads in mathematics and physics. He earned his law degree at the prestigious Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, with a focus on International Private Law. Subsequently, he completed the Bavarian Bar Exam (Assessorexamen) in Munich with significantly above-average results and outstanding success in the examinations for civil law and civil procedural law.

He obtained the title “Master of Laws” in IP Law as one of the top candidates, while simultaneously working at a large international law firm. During his specialized attorney training in Commercial and Industrial Legal Protection, he achieved the highest grade awarded in the course.

Global Experience

Attorney Svetoslav Ivanov, LL.M., completed his legal clerkship in San Francisco, CA, where he worked at the headquarters of a multinational company on international bilingual contracts and outsourcing. There he also conducted presentations for the American legal department. Half of his master’s studies took place at Keio University Law School in Tokyo, where he gained familiarity with international, U.S. and Japanese legal issues in the areas of Intellectual Property Law, Licensing, Financing and M&A.

Attorney Ivanov consistently leveraged his fluent English skills and ability to navigate diverse cultures in his daily practice. This was evident, particularly in the drafting and negotiation of international, often multilingual contracts, delimitation agreements, technology transfer and licensing agreements, advising on international cooperation agreements, international enforcement of IP rights such as trademarks, patents, and designs, as well as communicating with and representing his clients before international authorities such as WIPO and EUIPO. Additionally, he focused on building a network with international law firms and colleagues from key markets worldwide.
